The champagne was flowing and the atmosphere was lively at the Lamitak Studio on the evening of 28 June, on the occasion of the launch of the new Lamitak catalogue, Portfolio Volume Two. Guests, which included designers, business associates and the media, packed the city showroom to explore the new laminates, and there was a real sense of joie de vivre as the guests and staff mingled. There was also a surprise in store for the crowd, waiting to be discovered on the mezzanine level of the studio.
The Lamitak Studio was a hive of activity at the party which was held to celebrate the new laminate catalogue.
Guests were excited to explore Lamitak’s new laminate collections.
Guests were grouped into batches to experience the new Lamitak Homes – the first of its kind interior design application in Singapore. With great anticipation, they stepped into the darkened space on the mezzanine, and were greeted with a touch screen the size of a desk. This is the Interactive Table, the cornerstone of Lamitak Homes.

Lamitak Homes brings the visualisation of laminates in a space to a whole new level, and the Interactive Table is the tool which makes it happen. Users place door tile laminate samples on the interactive table in areas of the home they would like to see the laminate in, and the wall surfaces change to the desired laminate design. This is possible because of the Object Recognition Technology the application uses. The result is then projected onto the wall, with the scale of the life-size virtual space providing a more ‘realistic’ and immersive feel.
At this evening of good food and good company, guests took the opportunity to capture their memories of the night in Lamitak’s newly revamped photo opportunity area. Styled to resemble a contemporary living space, the area showcased new laminates Mateo L’Ametlla (DXP 1366K) and Braun Zermatt Esche (WYA 5284MT) on the walls.
Sporting a new look, this corner in the Lamitak Studio was styled with the latest laminates to provide a stylish backdrop for photo-taking.
During the party, guests also came up close to the craftsmen from The General Company, who were busy all evening embossing and foil-stamping the initials of the guests on leather notebook covers and luggage tags respectively. These handy items were gifts from Lamitak, as a gesture of thanks for gracing the occasion with their presence.

Guests could choose either a personalised leather-clad notebook or a leather luggage tag as a gift to bring home.
